I had the honour of shooting stills and creating the official movie poster for Red Girl Rising, a powerful short documentary that highlights the resilience, activism, and community leadership of Mohawk matriarch, teacher, and humanitarian Joyce Jonathan Crone from Huntsville, Ontario. The film celebrates her work in Indigenous education and community building and has been recognized on the international festival circuit.

My role included photographing key moments on set, capturing portraits and candid documentary-style images that reflect both the film’s emotional depth and cultural significance. I also created the primary visual identity for the film’s poster, bringing the story’s spirit and presence into a single compelling image used for promotion across festivals, marketing, and press materials.
