How the story
begins
My journey in photography began as a young child, Growing up with my mother who was a hobby photographer. I loved looking through our family albums and seeing our moments frozen in time.
It was years later after purchasing my first camera that i truly discovered my passion for capturing moments that tell stories. As the friend who always snapped photos of everything and everyone around me, it was clear that photography was more than just a hobby—it was a calling.
In 2013, I took a leap of faith and went back to school to pursue photography as a mature student. It was a decision fueled by having my first child and a strong desire to immerse myself fully in the art form that had captured my heart and soul. After graduating with honours from the Georgian College Photography and Imaging program in 2015, I went on to mentor under both a commercial and wedding photographer, while simultaneously launching my own business. From my early days of assisting established photographers to my evolution into running my own photography business, growth and transformation have defined my path. I am thankful everyday that I get to do what I love.
Beyond photography, I find joy in the simple pleasures of life—whether it's indulging in moments of homebody bliss, submersing myself in nature, or diving into a journey of self-improvement and wellness. I'm also an avid learner, often immersing myself in courses, documentaries and podcasts, constantly seeking new knowledge and inspiration. Organizing, scheduling, and maintaining a serene work environment are not just tasks, but therapeutic rituals that fuel my creative spirit.

I am a mother of three beautiful children; two boys and one girl. My oldest son was my inspiration to go to college as a mature student and get my photography degree. I started school when he was 11 months old and would often bring him on campus with me as I worked in our school studio.

I am of Anishinaabe and Portuguese descent. My mother is a 60's scoop survivor and my father immigrated from Livramento, Ponta Delgada in the Portuguese Azores when he was a toddler. My mother did not find her family until I was 15 and we learned that we were from Pinaymootang First Nation (formally Fairford), located in Manitoba. It is my hope to one day visit the places my parents are from.

Fun Facts
I find my peace in nature. If I am not working, I am often outdoors with my family; hiking, camping or spending time on the water. I have been an avid camper since I was a child, and we go two to three times in the summers. All three of my children took their first camping trip before they were six months old.
